Club Meeting – Wed, Dec 3rd

Our next club meeting is on Wednesday, December 3rd at 7pm at the Horace Fire Hall.

Trail signing is complete! A big thanks to all who helped out with the entire process, from sign building and trailer maintenance all the way through sign installation. It’s all volunteer work and the commitment from those who stepped up is always so great to see. So, a hardy thanks to Pete, Tina, Randy, Lavoy, Jeff, Karen, Mark, Kevin, Mike, Steve & John.

We are now headed into the heart of the season and are going in with our usual hope that we get enough snow to get the trail system opened for all to enjoy. After 2 seasons of lacking snow cover, us snowmobilers are ready for a “normal” season. So, make sure your sleds are ready to go and keep doing that snow dance. The trails are currently closed as we await enough snow to create the minimum 4″ base required to open. Ongoing small snows will help, but we really need one more good snow event to get us in good shape.

A heads up to all trail users. South of Horace is a new bridge over the Red River Diversion and a new roundabout at County Hwy 16. The dirt work out in these areas, particularly south of the roundabout, is quite rough with many large dirt clods that are quickly freezing. Take extra care when riding through these areas.

Memberships are due. Your local snowmobile trail cannot exist without your local snowmobile club and its members. If you have not taken the time to join the club or renew your membership, now is the time as memberships are due December 15th. Come to a club meeting or simply visit us at https://snoriders.com/membership-application/ for membership options.

Hope to see you at our next meeting.
