Are you supporting your local club?

You've heard it a million times, "Please support your local snowmobiling clubs". The local trail systems and snowmobiling events don't exist without snowmobiling clubs and the efforts of active members volunteering their time to make it all happen.

Being an active member can be as simple as showing your support by attending a club meeting. Becoming a member is a significant way to support your local club regardless of whether or not you intend to be an active member. Memberships are a critical component of financing club operations which, along with efforts of active members, provides the trail systems and events that we all enjoy.

Click here to become a member today, then guide your riding buddies to do the same. We literally cannot do it without you.

Trails
The area continues to have snow for the trail system to be remain open and for grooming operations to continue. Visit the links in the Current Conditions portion of this page and the Trail Information page for trail conditions and other information.

Club meeting schedule for upcoming season

General club meetings for the 2009-2010 season will be held the first Tuesday night of the month (thru April) at 7:30pm at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill. Mark your calendars.

Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Safety Certification

North Dakota law requires youth ages 12 to 16, who do not have a valid driver's license or permit, to take a safety certification course in order to legally operate OHVs on land other than their parents. More information is available at http://www.snowmobilend.org/resources/safety_course_program.php and at the ND Parks and recreation site at http://www.parkrec.nd.gov/recreation/snowmobile/index.html.

Certification may also be completed on-line by visiting https://www.idctech.net/RecTesting/.

Out-of-state permits

North Dakota law requires all out-of-state and out-of-country snowmobiles obtain an out-of-state snowmobile permit to operate on public right of way and trail systems. The permit costs $15.00 and is required to be in the operator’s possession while driving their snowmobile within this state. Visit https://secure.apps.nd.gov/PNR/Snowmobile/ for additional information and to purchase a permit.
